Borrowing from H. P. Lovecraft (and maybe even some Edgar Rice Burroughs) PROMETHEUS is the story of the 17-person crew on board the spaceship Prometheus which is going in search for the origins of human life.  Drawings found in multiple ancient caves have guided them to a moon many light years away.  The crew is in stasis and as the film opens they awake.

I don't want to give too much away, so I'll play it safe and just say they do find life, but it's not what you would expect from a ALIEN prequel.  But that's not a bad thing.  Personally I think taking the story in a new direction is a good thing.  The bad thing is while PROMETHEUS looks good (very, very good in fact), the story is a little weak.  I'm not going to go into since there's tons of places online you can rage and argue about every little details.  I'll just say I wish James Cameron had written the script instead.

Head in a sandwich bag, amazing special effects, quick pace, unwise life choices, technology more advanced in 2093 than in 2122, gnarly looking monsters, albino bodybuilding Trent Reznor-looking aliens, hot rodding around an unexplored moon within minutes of landing on it...not to mention landing by pure chance in the best place possible, Noomi Rapace looking mega hot, getting lost, good acting all around, though-provoking and head scratching story, awesome surgery scene.  On the one hand I'm kinda disappointed in PROMETHEUS since I expect more, but on the other hand I was glued to the screen and it looked really good.  Worth buying.

Part 1 - Alien
Part 2 - Aliens
Part 3 - Aliens 3
Part 4 - Alien Resurrection
Crossover 1 - Alien vs. Predator
Crossover 2 - Alien vs. Predator: Requiem

It's pretty amazing, considering that the ship has crashed and that that vodka bottle is still standing.

Instead of dressing up Guy Pearce to look like old Biff from BACK TO THE FUTURE II why didn't they just hire an old actor?  Like say Max von Sydow or Christopher Lee.

Everybody's heartbeat looks exactly the say no matter the situation.
